Safe starting checklist

  1. Check the latest receipt or account page to confirm who bills you.
  2. Open the official Canva account or support entry point.
  3. Confirm the final end date or request written support confirmation.

What happens after cancellation

Cancel before a trial ends to avoid its first paid cycle. Store purchases are managed by the store. Current-term refund treatment depends on plan, region, and purchase channel.

Documented option

Inspect the authenticated cancel screen for pause/downgrade choices.

Teams, stores, and trials differ; capture the exact option before publishing it.

Offer may appear

Public help is client-rendered; do not promise a pause or offer. If an offer appears, compare its cadence, end date, and full renewal price. Never assume an account-specific offer is guaranteed.

What they don't tell you

If you subscribed through Apple

Canva cannot cancel a subscription that Apple bills. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Canva and cancel there. Check the receipt: if it came from Apple, that is your route.

Check the biller first

Direct; Apple; Google Play; Teams/Business owner billing. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon, PayPal, a carrier, or another partner appears on the receipt, cancel with that provider instead of using the merchant's direct route.
