What happens after cancellation
Benefits and extra storage continue through the billing cycle. Most storage-plan purchases are nonrefundable; Apple and Google Play refund channels apply to their purchases.

Before you cancel: pay less
Documented option
Downgrade storage rather than canceling if usage fits a smaller tier.
Free space first; over-quota restrictions affect Gmail, Drive, and Photos.
What they don't tell you
- After expiry, each member returns to the free allowance. If over quota, Gmail send/receive, Drive sync/upload/create/edit, and Photos backup are restricted. A family manager controls a shared family plan. Partner plans must be canceled with the partner.
If you subscribed through Apple
Google One cannot cancel a subscription that Apple bills. On your iPhone open
Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Google One and cancel there.
Check the receipt: if it came from Apple, that is your route.
Check the biller first
Google direct/Play; Apple App Store; mobile/other partner plans. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon, PayPal, a carrier, or another partner appears on the receipt, cancel with that provider instead of using the merchant's direct route.
