Cancellation guide
How to cancel Nintendo Switch Online
Cancel Nintendo Switch Online through the biller-specific route below. Save the final end date or written confirmation before you leave. Open the official Nintendo Switch Online route.
Step by step
- In Nintendo Account, open Shop Menu
- Nintendo Switch Online / Subscriptions
- turn off automatic renewal. On Switch, Nintendo eShop
- user icon
- Account Information
- Nintendo Switch Online
- turn off automatic renewal.
What happens after cancellation
Auto-renewal must be disabled at least 48 hours before the current period ends. Access continues through the current term.
How to know it worked
Nintendo Account/eShop shows automatic renewal off and an expiry date.
Before you cancel: pay less
Documented option
Use a Family membership only for a genuine group that will use it; otherwise turn off renewal.
Only the administrator manages the plan and renewal must be stopped at least 48 hours early.
Offer may appear
No cancellation discount. If an offer appears, compare its cadence, end date, and full renewal price. Never assume an account-specific offer is guaranteed.
What they don't tell you
- Only the family-group administrator can manage a family membership. A prepaid membership naturally expires if renewal is not enabled; turning off renewal does not refund unused time.
Check the biller first
Nintendo Account/eShop; individual or family membership. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon, PayPal, a carrier, or another partner appears on the receipt, cancel with that provider instead of using the merchant's direct route.
