What happens after cancellation
Paid features continue through the billing cycle and the workspace downgrades at its end. Notion documents full refund windows of three days for monthly and 30 days for annual signup mistakes when support is contacted.
How to know it worked
Workspace Billing shows the future Free plan and effective date.
Before you cancel: pay less
Documented option
Downgrade the relevant workspace, remove unused paid seats, or request an eligible mistake refund promptly.
Each workspace bills separately; refund windows differ for monthly, annual, and accidental seats.
What they don't tell you
- Billing is per workspace; canceling one does not cancel other paid workspaces. Only an owner with billing access can change the plan. Mobile purchases and enterprise contracts use their provider/contact.
If you subscribed through Apple
Notion cannot cancel a subscription that Apple bills. On your iPhone open
Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Notion and cancel there.
Check the receipt: if it came from Apple, that is your route.
Check the biller first
Direct workspace billing; Apple/Google for eligible single-member mobile workspaces; sales-assisted contracts. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon, PayPal, a carrier, or another partner appears on the receipt, cancel with that provider instead of using the merchant's direct route.
