What happens after cancellation
Service stays active to the end of the current paid period; stopping renewal does not refund unused time. A separate refund request may qualify under the 30-day policy.

What they don't tell you
- If the cancellation control is absent, an app store may own billing. Canceling renewal and requesting a refund are separate actions.
If you subscribed through Apple
Surfshark cannot cancel a subscription that Apple bills. On your iPhone open
Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Surfshark and cancel there.
Check the receipt: if it came from Apple, that is your route.
Check the biller first
Direct; Apple; Google Play; Amazon Appstore. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon, PayPal, a carrier, or another partner appears on the receipt, cancel with that provider instead of using the merchant's direct route.
